As a lifelong member of Newburyport and the Massachusetts seacoast, I chose a name that pays homage to my home. The Flying Cloud, a historic clipper ship linked to Newburyport, symbolizes speed, reliability, and its role in transporting goods from port to port.

About Maria Poulos

Bringing over three decades of expertise as a professional freelancer in the technology, financial, and healthcare sectors, Maria leads Flying Cloud Design. Her extensive experience encompasses navigating technological shifts, working both remotely and onsite across diverse corporate landscapes, particularly within marketing communications and creative services departments. Maria is a proud graduate of RIT in Communication Design.

Previous engagements encompassed collaborations with esteemed organizations such as New England Life, New England Telephone, Digital Equipment Corp., Wang Laboratories, Bay Networks, EMC, and various startup ventures. Maria’s brief tenure as a curriculum developer at a college played a pivotal role in enhancing her comprehension of learning processes and proved invaluable in conveying information visually. This knowledge seamlessly transitioned to aiding start-up companies in the manufacturing, healthcare, and food services sectors through graphic design, presentation design, and web development services provided by Flying Cloud Design.
